My Summer Picks
From Memorial day to garden parties, or just a a plain old lovely solstice day shopping, I created 3 inspirational outfits that are perfect for Summer. Featuring jewelry by Chan Luu.
La Vie En Rose
Miranda Priestly couldn’t have said it better herself, “Florals for Spring…? Groundbreaking.” But what’s more to love than some dapper floral prints? A knee length skirt is timelessly chic. I Also love these feminine Chloé Scalloped Ballerina flats. They are a must-have because of their unique ribbed look. I like topping off an outfit with some funky sunglasses. It adds just the right amount of eccentricity. Every outfit needs either a pop of color or a statement accessory. I like to add both; after all, the more the merrier.
Candy Shop
I love this seasons pastel hues, they are a perfect pop of color! Remember to keep a classic silhouette with sharp tailoring to counter your loose and lightweight summer dresses and playsuits. Funky jewelry adds eccentricity to your outfit and a purse that will turn heads adds the perfect amount of spunk to your style.
✿ Vernal Equinox ✿
I don’t know about you guys but the switch from my Winter wardrobe to my Spring Wardrobe is drastic. Black, grays, and whites…make way for some eccentric colors! My 2 favorite colors for Spring/Summer are orange and coral. In my opinion, an investment in a coral dress will last you for seasons to come. Pop on some YSL nail polish to counter this bright orange Givenchy clutch and coral Balenciaga shorts. These Chanel earrings’ patterns hearten the checkered look of the Margiela booties. I love matching in desecrate yet noticeable ways, after all, fashion is all about the detail.
Ride In Style: The Frye Edition
Be one step ahead of the Fall/Winter trends and invest in a nice pair of leather boots to compliment your “cowgirl chic” look. My favorite pair of leather boots I own are Frye. And at the Tannery in Boston they are 25% off, so in celebration of my favorite brand of boots being on sale I dedicated a Polyvore set to them, how romantic! Anyways, with this set I paired my favorite Fryes with some outfits to give ideas on what to wear. Riding pants are perfect with a long boot and high waisted shorts go great with some ankle boots, or vise versa! Honestly, whatever you wear with your Fryes, you’ll look amazing. But spare us all, and no assless chaps please.
Be Bright
Staying cool but looking hot is a theme for this Spring/Summer. Mix-and-match trends by going sporty with these Chloé kicks. Add pops of color just where you need it with neon sunnies and tank tops. Playful Prabal Gurung prints speak for themselves. Prada jewels to stick with a floral theme. Top it all off with an overall minimalistic twist: a structured YSL bag and cream Chalayan blazer.
My inspiration for this piece was the softness of a petal. The fuzzy mongolian pullover jacket will surely keep you warm on a cold night. The delicate printed tights are a must paired with crochet shorts. Top it off with your favorite blouse and you’re set. Neutral color pallet paired with the trendy leopard print shoes are a go this winter.
